Improvement of charter school versus public school students over time

The nationwide impact of charter schools on student academic progress over time is, partly, a story about charter management organizations (CMOs). Expanding on our 2013 and 2017 CMO studies, this report examines aggregate charter school versus public school student results to understand better how well stand-alone charter schools (SCSes) and schools affiliated with CMOs provide high-quality education opportunities to all students.
